Three guards were injured when a freight train was derailed by a landmine explosion in Turkey's eastern Mus province late on Saturday, a security source said.
The blast sent freight cars rolling down an embankment in an attack attributed to the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, which is listed as a terrorist group by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
The train was passing a crossing at Altinova on the Elazig-Tatvan line when it was hit by the powerful blast, said the source on condition of anonymity.
The wounded security guards were named as Engin Dagoglu, Kazim Cakar and Metin Kaya, who were taken to Mus State Hospital for treatment.
