French President: We Have Issues To Discuss With Turkey

French President François Hollande said on Wednesday that there are international issues France needs to discuss together with Turkey.

Speaking to the Cihan news agency in Paris during the opening of SIAL, the world's largest food fair, Hollande commented on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's upcoming visit to France and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Hollande said Turkey is looking for ways for fighters who would like to resist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorism to have access to Syria. He also said Turkey is searching for methods to provide shelter for more refugees.

Praising the strong relations between Turkey and his country, the French president announced that Erdoğan would soon visit France. He said the purpose of Erdoğan's visit would be to discuss international problems that need to be discussed.

Hollande also touched on the commercial dimension of bilateral relations between the two countries. According to the French president, the relations France established with Turkey also support confidence in the food sector. Asking Turks to buy French products, Hollande said that France produces some of the most delicious meat in the world. He also noted that France also wishes to buy Turkish products.

Hollande stated that he saw many Turkish brands and visitors from Turkey at the SIAL exhibition.
