Greece Ease Past Turkey İn Athens

Greece defeated Turkey in a friendly basketball game in Athens on Wednesday.



The encounter at the Olympic Indoor Sports Center saw the hosts beat Turkey by 14 points to finish the match 70-56.



The efforts of Memphis Grizzlies playmaker guard Nick Calathes were crucial to the Greek victory, scoring 12 points, with three rebounds and four assists.



Milwaukee Bucks' 19-year-old forward Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 12 points, with five rebounds, while Olympiacos forward Georgios Printezis finished the game with 10 points, five rebounds and two assists. UNICS Kazan center Ian Vougioukas scored nine points, with five rebounds.



Nicknamed the "12 Giant Men," Turkey tried to counter with Fenerbahce Ulker center Oguz Savas scoring 10 points and taking two rebounds.



Galatasaray Liv Hospital's new signing Kerem Gonlum finished with seven points and four rebounds while club teammate Ender Arslan notched up nine points. Center Omer Asik, recently signed by NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, scored seven points and took seven rebounds. Anadolu Efes combo guard Cedi Osman scored seven points.



Turkey will host Greece in Istanbul on Friday.
