Those who want to travel to Greece, met with major obstacles on the crossing gates of the country on Wednesday as the Greek customs officers are on strike. Customs employees of Greece the country that suffers from economic crises, declared strike as of 06:00 am on Wednesday. Due to the strike, entries and departures from the country have stopped since early hours in the morning. People who were trying to travel to Greece and Greek citizens trying to return back to home started to cumulate in front of the gates from early hours. Greeks whose passport and customs operations were not done by officials had to return back to Turkey. Speaking to a Cihan reporter, a Greek citizen named Hiristos Pehlivanidis said customs officers refused to do their passport operations saying that they are on strike. Meanwhile, Turkish officials reported that truck passings to Greece also completely stopped.
