The owner of a 1.5-ton bull named "Poyraz," known by the nickname "Turkey's Champion," which was put up for sale at a slaughter tent in Esenyurt for 650,000 lira, said, "I have taken the bull off the market. I said, 'This bull is worthy of our President.' We want to gift this bull to him for his leadership in the peace process."
In the sacrificial tent located in Esenyurt, a calf named "Poyraz," which weighs over 1.5 tons and is referred to as "Turkey's Champion," has been put up for sale at 650,000 lira. The owner, Cüneyt Taş, who stated that he has decided not to sell the calf brought from Kayseri, expressed his intention to gift the calf to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan due to the leadership he demonstrated during the peace process.
"CUSTOMERS OFFERED LOW PRICES"
Cüneyt Taş said, "I saw this calf on the internet. A friend in Kayseri had shared it. Then they sent me the link. I reached the owner of the calf through a family friend. We had a negotiation over the phone, and when I saw the calf up close, I liked it even more. We negotiated again there. As a result of the negotiation, I bought the calf for 540,000 lira. After purchasing it, I brought it to Sakarya. After staying in Sakarya for 1-2 days, I brought it to the sacrificial tent in Esenyurt. I asked for a price, but the customers offered low prices," he said.
"WE WANT TO GIFT IT TO OUR PRESIDENT"
Stating that he wants to gift the calf to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Taş said, "I also took the calf off the market. I said, 'This calf is worthy of our President.' We want to gift this calf to him due to the leadership he has shown for the peace process. From here, I send my regards and respects to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The weight of the calf is over 1.5 tons. I had put our calf up for sale at 650,000 lira. I took it off the market; we want to gift it to Mr. President. We want his team to get in touch with us," he expressed.
