In Aydın's Nazilli district, the pide restaurant owner Ertuğrul Salman, who was poisoned by a meal made with mushrooms collected from the forest, has passed away.
Ertuğrul Salman (62), a pide restaurant owner who died after being poisoned by a meal made with mushrooms he and his wife Zeynur Salman (54) collected from the forest, was laid to rest.
In the Kavacık neighborhood of Aydın, Ertuğrul Salman and his wife Zeynur Salman, who cooked and ate the mushrooms they had collected from the forest a day earlier, fell ill around 12:30 PM.

Upon notification of the situation, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the house. It was determined by health officials that Ertuğrul Salman had passed away, while Zeynur Salman, whose vital functions were still ongoing, was taken to Nazilli State Hospital. It was reported that Salman was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
LAID TO REST
A funeral prayer was held today at Gül Mosque in Nazilli for Ertuğrul Salman, whose autopsy procedures were completed at the Aydın Forensic Medicine Institution. The funeral was attended by Salman’s family and relatives, as well as Mahmut Tekin, the President of the Nazilli Bakers' Chamber, and Şenol Öztürk, the Muhtar of Yeşil Neighborhood. Ertuğrul Salman’s body was buried in the rural Arslanlı neighborhood amid tears.
