In Tokat, an honorary inspector issued a fine of 2,400 Turkish lira to a school bus driver for dropping off a student outside of the designated stop. Believing the fine was unjust, the bus driver sought assistance from artificial intelligence to write an appeal letter and submitted it to the court. The court found in favor of the bus driver and annulled the fine.
Mehmet Can Duran, who works as a school bus driver in Tokat, stopped his vehicle at a pedestrian crossing after dropping off a student and gave way to pedestrians. Meanwhile, a volunteer inspector in the vehicle behind him wrote a fine of 2,400 lira to Duran for dropping off a student outside of a designated stop.
ASKED FOR HELP FROM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Believing that the fine was unjustly issued, Duran began to explore ways to appeal. Not wanting to pay a lawyer, Duran found a solution by seeking help from artificial intelligence. He applied to the Tokat Civil Court with a petition prepared by the AI. In the petition written by the AI, it was stated that there was no visual or document related to the fine issued by the volunteer inspector, and the court ruled in favor of Duran, canceling the fine within three weeks.
"I KEPT 2,400 LIRA IN MY POCKET"
Stating that hiring a lawyer would be financially burdensome for him, Mehmet Can Duran mentioned that he sought help from artificial intelligence, saying, "If I had hired a lawyer, I would have incurred an additional financial burden in case the case resulted negatively. Thanks to the help I received from artificial intelligence, I was able to cancel my fine and keep 2,400 TL in my pocket. I found this solution by dedicating a few hours, and I avoided paying my fine. If it weren't for artificial intelligence, I would have had to give away a day's earnings for nothing."
"I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS"
Emphasizing that artificial intelligence, which citizens generally turn to when they encounter situations they do not want to deal with, could be an important tool for seeking justice in rightful cases, Duran stated, "It is very important to seek our rights instead of accepting. Thanks to artificial intelligence, I got rid of a 2,400 TL fine, and I recommend this experience to others."
