A driver who relied on a navigation app while driving in Eyüpsultan got stuck when they failed to notice the stairs in a narrow street. The incident was captured on camera, and local residents requested that a sign be placed to indicate that the street is a dead end.
A driver set out on the road last Monday in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, relying on a navigation application. Following the route provided by the application, the driver soon entered a narrow street.
TRAPPED ON THE STAIRS
The driver, who continued on his way, experienced the shock of his life when he failed to notice the stairs. The driver became trapped on the stairs. The incident was captured on camera. Local residents requested that authorities place a sign indicating that the street is a dead end.
"CARS GOING DOWN DON'T KNOW THERE'S NO TURNING BACK"
Ayşe Kesim, a shopkeeper at Pierre Lotti Hill, said, "Cars going down don't know that there's no turning back from there. When they try to come back, their cars get damaged, and they call for a tow truck. Vehicles cannot go up from there. Those who don't know this road enter here. A sign needs to be placed."
