A man, who was allegedly under the influence of substances, jumped into the Porsuk River, which had its water levels lowered due to cleaning works, and got stuck in the mud. Health and AFAD teams who arrived at the scene rescued the man and took him to the hospital.

TEAMS TOOK A BREATH IN THE AREA
Citizens who saw the man stuck in the mud of the riverbed reported the situation to 112 Emergency Service. Upon notification, police, health, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. AFAD teams worked to rescue the individual from where he was located.
As a result of the teams' efforts, the individual rescued from the mud was treated by health teams. It was learned that the individual, who was seen to be breathing and unconscious, was taken to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital.

Eyewitness Can Ayaz, who described the moment of the incident, said, "We were sitting on the pier with my friends. A citizen came, looking disheveled. He was likely under the influence of substances. He was not himself. We tried to calm him down, but he didn't listen to us. He ran up and suddenly jumped into the river from the fence. He fell into the Porsuk River, rolling. Then he walked a bit, got stuck again, and remained motionless in the water. We called 112. I hope he recovers."
