A man about to be deported at Heathrow Airport in England engaged in a chase reminiscent of a movie scene with security personnel. As he was about to be boarded onto the plane, he managed to escape from the security officers and started running on the runway. After a chase lasting about a minute, the man was caught and returned to the plane, where he was deported from the United Kingdom.
Incredible moments occurred at Heathrow, the bustling airport of England. A man attempting to escape while being deported from the country staged a chase reminiscent of a movie scene on the runway, among moving airplanes, with security personnel.
In footage that quickly spread on social media, a man is seen being chased by four security officers in the airport grounds near Terminal 2. In this incident that took place on Sunday evening, it was learned that the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, managed to escape from the security escorts while being taken to the deportation flight and began running on the runway. The footage shows the man, who appears to have a large item around his waist, giving up after a chase that lasted more than a minute.
The captured man was later taken back onto the plane and deported from the United Kingdom. The UK Home Office reported that it is investigating the incident in collaboration with the security service provider Mitie Care & Custody. In a statement from Mitie, it was said, "An investigation into the incident is ongoing. The individual was quickly apprehended, taken back onto the plane, and handed over to the relevant authorities upon landing."
The footage also shows a minibus arriving at the scene, which contained two individuals who ended the chase. Moments when the man was taken away and later loaded into a police van are also included in the clip.
A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport stated on Sunday, "In collaboration with our partners, we quickly resolved the incident involving a person who entered the runway. The individual was removed from the airport. The airport continues its normal operations, and passengers are traveling as planned."
