According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on the top floor of the 5-story Şirin Apartment located on Yeşil Mahalle Kavşak Street. For an undetermined reason, 29-year-old Norooz Ahmedi shot his brother Kurban Ali Ahmedi and his sister-in-law Leeqa Azemi in the head. After neighbors reported hearing gunshots from the house, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, where it was determined that Kurban Ali and Leeqa had died at the scene.
HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITH THE MURDER WEAPON
After the incident, the murder suspect fled in a commercial taxi towards Eskipazar, while law enforcement teams began working to capture him. After the teams reached the driver of the taxi the suspect fled in, it was determined that he had gotten off in Eskipazar. Teams from the Karabük Public Security Branch quickly captured the suspect along with the murder weapon in the district. The murder suspect, who was taken into custody by the teams, was subjected to a health check at a private hospital in Karabük before being handed over to the Homicide Branch for questioning.
5 CHILDREN TAKEN UNDER PROTECTION
Meanwhile, it was determined that there were a total of 5 children aged between 2 and 5, including 2 children of the deceased Kurban Ali Ahmedi and Leeqa Azami, and 3 children belonging to the suspect Nooroz Ahmedi and his other siblings. The 5 children were taken from the house and placed under protection by the police.
THE BODIES WERE TAKEN TO FORENSIC MEDICINE FOR AUTOPSY
Karabük Police Chief Mehmet Ali Hasan Köse also arrived at the scene to conduct investigations, while the lifeless bodies of the Afghan couple who were shot and killed were placed in a funeral vehicle and taken to the Morgue of Karabük University Training and Research Hospital for autopsy.
