A head-on collision between two passenger buses in Bangladesh's Natore district, some 210 km west of capital Dhaka, Monday evening left at least 24 people dead and dozens of others injured, local police said. The district's police chief Bashudev Bonik told Xinhua over phone, "At least 20 passengers were killed on the spot and four others succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital." The accident which occurred at around 3:00 p.m. local time also left some of passengers of both the buses critically injured, he said. All the injured were rushed to local hospitals and clinics, he said, adding that cause for the accident is not immediately available. (Cihan/Xinhua)
