In a video, Associate Professor Dr. Muhammed Keskin stated, "Don't buy oil without watching this video," as he listed the top 5 most beneficial oils. Declaring olive oil as "the king of oils," Keskin noted that butter is not "the evil oil," mentioning that even heart patients can consume it in amounts up to 50 grams. He also recommended avocado, sesame, and coconut oils, emphasizing that refined vegetable oils should be thrown away.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Keskin made important warnings regarding the oils used in kitchens in one of his publications and shared the "5 most beneficial oils" with his audience. Keskin emphasized that refined vegetable oils produced using caustics and bleaching agents should be avoided.

Placing olive oil, which he described as the "pearl of the Mediterranean" and "the king of oils," at the top of the list, Keskin stated that this oil is a true friend of the cardiovascular system, especially when consumed cold. He noted that due to its oleic acid and omega-9 content, it lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol. Highlighting the smoke point of 176 degrees as the only drawback of olive oil, Keskin warned that it can become harmful when fried at high temperatures.

Surprisingly placing butter in second place, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Keskin emphasized that it is one of the highest quality oils. He stated, "Although it is known as a saturated fat, it is actually a source of butyric acid, which is a short-chain fatty acid; in other words, it is one of the fats that can be converted into fuel the fastest in the body." He also added that butter has a high omega-3 content. He noted that the smoke point is high at 200-220 degrees but should not be heated for long periods to avoid losing its nutritional value. Keskin provided a clear answer to the debates on this topic by saying, "No one can clog their arteries with 50 grams of butter a day. For us, the evil oils are refined liquid oils, not butter."

Keskin recommended avocado oil, which he stated is ideal for baking due to its very high smoke point of 271 degrees, in third place. He mentioned that this oil, which he compared to olive oil in terms of benefits, lowers LDL cholesterol and triglycerides when consumed in moderation.

In fourth place was sesame oil, which he described as "diabetes-friendly." Keskin said, "With its sesamol compounds, it is one of the best oils for lowering blood sugar." He noted that with a smoke point of 210 degrees, it is suitable for both hot dishes and cold salads.

Completing the list with coconut oil, Keskin also addressed concerns regarding its saturated fat content. He stated, "It is the oil that increases HDL (good) cholesterol the most. How can I ban such an oil?" He expressed that this oil is athlete-friendly due to its medium-chain fatty acids, enhancing performance and the feeling of fullness. He also emphasized its effectiveness in oral hygiene and preventing odors due to its antimicrobial properties.
