The first floating natural gas production platform (FPU) of Turkey, Osman Gazi, has begun its passage through the Istanbul Strait. Osman Gazi also completed its passage under the July 15 Martyrs Bridge. The platform, which will double natural gas production in the Sakarya Gas Field in the Black Sea, is expected to reach its duty station in a year for its 20-year mission in the Black Sea.
ERDOĞAN WAVED GOODBYE
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent off Turkey's first floating natural gas production platform (FPU) Osman Gazi to the Sakarya Gas Field in the Black Sea. President Erdoğan waved goodbye to the platform, which will double natural gas production in the Sakarya Gas Field, from the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office during a ceremony attended by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar.

In a statement regarding the matter, President Erdoğan said, "We sent off our ship Osman Gazi to the Black Sea. We will conduct research under the sea there and extract natural gas from those areas, which will relieve our citizens much more."
IT WILL COMPLETE ITS PASSAGE IN 11 HOURS
During the ceremony where the Mehter team performed, the President of Communications of the Presidency Fahrettin Altun and the President of Galatasaray Club Dursun Özbek were also present. On the anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul, the platform is expected to complete its passage through the Bosphorus in 11 hours and is planned to dock at Filyos Port on June 1.
