Huge Catfish Weighing 110 Kg Caught By Fishermen

Weighing 110 kg a huge catfish was caught by fisherman in River Kızılırmak, located in Kalecik district in the Turkish capital city of Ankara. Fisherman who could not manage to take out the fish from the river requested help and it was taken by means of a tractor.

The interesting event, in which 2.5- meter in length and 110 kg weight catfish was caught in a normal fishing day caused amazement among social media and local residents who took many photo with the huge catfish.

Telling his interesting catching story Fisherman Veysel Karani Özdoğan told that along with his friends Nuh Çelik, Hüseyin Şenyüz and Adnan Yuvalı he was waiting very long time until the catfish took the bait and they managed to catch it after 3-long-hour effort. “Even we were four fishermen we could not be able to take out the huge fish from the water. We tired so much but the catfish was resisting. We requested a help from a tractor driver and finally we took out it from the river,” added Özdoğan.

Karani Özdoğan also stated that he has been doing this job for 20 years but he had never seen such a fish. “The fish is weighing 110 kilos and its length 2.5 meters. We will divide it in portions and sell it per kilo with the price of 30 Turkish Lira. Cat fish can be defined as cure-all,” noted Özdoğan.
