The Tokat Provincial Gendarmerie Command received a tip-off regarding illegal fishing at the Tepekışla Dam. Following this, the Erbaa District Gendarmerie Command's Public Order Teams and the Environmental, Nature, and Animal Protection Team conducted patrol activities in the area.

ILLEGAL FISHING COSTS DEARLY

During the inspections, it was determined that Y. B. and A. K. had set up an illegal fishing net 135 meters long in the dam lake using a motorless boat. The illegal net and boat seized by the gendarmerie teams were handed over to the District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate teams. A total administrative fine of 64,000 TL was imposed on the individuals. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
