Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that he conveyed his well wishes and desire to meet to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who underwent surgery on February 5 due to a problem with his heart valve, saying, "We have not been able to meet yet."

NO RESPONSE TO IMAMOĞLU'S REQUEST FOR A MEETING FROM BAHÇELİ
In one part of the program, İmamoğlu stated that he conveyed his best wishes and desire for a meeting to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who underwent surgery on February 5 due to a heart valve issue, twice, saying, "We have not been able to meet yet."

İmamoğlu's statements regarding the issue are as follows: "Let me convey my best wishes to Mr. Devlet Bahçeli from here as well. I conveyed my best wishes to him twice from a proper point. I also expressed my desire for a meeting if they are available. But we have not been able to meet yet. However, I conveyed my best wishes to him twice during that period."
BAHÇELİ'S PHONE TRAFFIC
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli was reported to have separately called Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) who is part of the Imralı Committee, Van MP Pervin Buldan, former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk, and DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan to thank them after the visits that resulted in terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan's call to lay down arms. In the following days, Bahçeli also had a phone conversation with former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned in Edirne Prison, and CHP Diyarbakır MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu.
