Immigrant Caught On Tape As Clutching Onto Life On Prow Of Sunken Boat

An immigrant struggled to stay alive in a boat disaster, in which 27 people lost their lives in the Aegean Sea on the coast of Turkish province of Balıkersir’s district of Edremit, was caught on tape while he was being saved by the rescue teams.

In the video is seen that the immigrant, who was rescued alive at the end of the operation, is being rescued successfully on the prows of sunken boat by teams of helicopter belonging to Turkish Coast Guard and also seen how he was in dire strait and on the verge of passing away.

Over the tip off, saying a boat carrying immigrants sunk in the Gulf of Edremit, a rescue team and helicopter was dispatched from Turkish Aegean city of İzmir and reached at the scene in a short time. When the rescuing teams just started the rescuing, they realized an immigrant is about to die on the prow of the boat and a delicate operation started to save the man.

While the search and rescue team of helicopter went down to the sea and the immigrants was pulled up to the helicopter.

Following the operation, rescued immigrant were landed on Altınoluk quay by the means of a crane and delivered to the health units.

Whole operation was caught on tape by the cameras of Turkish Coast Guard.
