The rating record-breaking series "Kızılcık Şerbeti" on Show TV became the most discussed topic on social media with its latest episode. The revelation of the forbidden love between the characters Doğa and Firaz received intense reactions from viewers. While the RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) initiated an investigation, changes were made to the script for the new episode, and the promotional trailer was also removed from the platforms.
The phenomenon series of Show TV, Kızılcık Şerbeti, is once again making headlines in its fourth season, produced by Gold Film. The series stars Barış Kılıç, Evrim Alasya, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Sıla Türkoğlu, and Doğukan Güngör in leading roles. However, the production, which has broken rating records, has come to the forefront for a different reason with its latest episode.
In the 104th episode, the forbidden love between Doğa, played by Sıla Türkoğlu, and the character Firaz, portrayed by Batuhan Bozkurt Yüzgüleç, took center stage. This secret closeness between Nursema's husband Firaz and Fatih's wife Doğa was revealed in the messaging scene aired at the end of the episode.
The scene in question sparked significant debate among viewers. Comments such as "Was this necessary for ratings?" and "This relationship disrupted the balance of the series, I won't watch anymore" drew attention on social media, while some viewers expressed their disappointment.
RTÜK TOOK ACTION
Following the increasing complaints, RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin announced that the reactions regarding the series are being evaluated meticulously and necessary actions will be taken. After the RTÜK review, the new episode trailer of Kızılcık Şerbeti was removed from all digital platforms.
NEW SCENES WERE WRITTEN
According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, a script change was made regarding the Doğa and Firaz storyline that caused reactions in the series. For this reason, the promotion of the new episode, which is set to air on Friday, could not be broadcast as planned. Viewers are eagerly waiting to see both the new trailer and how the changes in the script will be reflected.
