As part of the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, businessman Ali Nuhoğlu and Süleyman Atik were released under judicial control by benefiting from the provisions of effective remorse.

2 MORE CONFESSORS HAVE BEEN RELEASED

In the decision of the Peace Criminal Court, it was noted that Ali Nuhoğlu gave statements twice on June 1 and June 4. It was stated that Süleyman Atik gave statements three times on May 13, May 30, and June 4.

The court decision included the statements that "Atik and Nuhoğlu provided detailed and sincere statements regarding the accusations against them and the operational structure of the organization, and they expressed their desire to benefit from the effective remorse provisions. Considering the content of the statements taken, it was concluded that the statements were consistent and that the events were substantiated in terms of person, time, and place," leading to their release.

Atik and Nuhoğlu were released under judicial control conditions of house arrest and a ban on leaving the country.

9 PEOPLE HAD BEEN RELEASED

As part of the investigation, Sami Özge Arıoğlu, Erdem Arıoğlu, and Mustafa Başar Arıoğlu, who were arrested for the crimes of 'manipulating a tender' and 'bribery', were released under judicial control provisions of not leaving the country and not leaving their residence, after providing sincere statements based on concrete events related to the tender for the construction of the Kirazlı - Halkalı Metro Line.

On the other hand, those who provided sincere statements under the effective remorse provisions, including Hüseyin Kum, Taner Gümüş, Murat Bıyık, Kadir Gümüş, and Altan Gözcü, were also released by the Peace Criminal Court under judicial control provisions by leaving the country and signing, while Servet Yıldırım was released under the condition of not leaving his residence.
