As part of the investigation into irregularities regarding the concert expenses of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024, 14 suspects were detained, of which 5 were referred to the Duty Magistrate's Court for judicial control, while 9 were referred for arrest.
Nine individuals have been requested to be arrested as part of the investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
A new development has occurred regarding those detained for allegedly causing public harm through expenses related to concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024.
REQUEST FOR ARREST OF 9 INDIVIDUALS
Among the 14 individuals detained, 5 were referred to the peace criminal court with judicial control measures after their interrogation by the prosecutor's office, while 9 suspects were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for arrest.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
According to the report prepared by the Ministry of Interior's Inspectorate, the MASAK examination, the Court of Accounts examination, and expert reports, it was determined that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality incurred a loss of 154 million 453 thousand 221.60 lira in the procurement of 32 concert services.
As part of the investigation, on September 23, 14 suspects, including former municipal bureaucrats and company officials, were detained on charges of "abuse of office" and "manipulating a tender."
