Regarding TÜSİAD President Orhan Turan and High Advisory Council (YİK) President Ömer Aras, an investigation was initiated due to their presentation and speeches at the General Assembly meeting on February 13, which included the statement, "Politicians, business people, and journalists are being questioned, arrested, and trustees are being appointed, lieutenants are being dismissed." Turan and Aras, who were taken to the courthouse under police escort and appeared in court after their statements to the prosecutor's office, were subjected to a travel ban and judicial control decision.
As part of the investigation, a lawsuit was filed against TÜSİAD President Orhan Turhan and TÜSİAD High Advisory Council President Mehmet Ömer Arif Aras on the charge of "publicly disseminating misleading information through the press" with a prison sentence ranging from 1 year and 3 months to 5 years and 3 months.
