07.07.2015 11:51

The Indian government has called a meeting of Chief Ministers of all northeastern states on July 11 to discuss the security situation in the region, sources said Tuesday. "The meeting will be held in the northeastern state of Assam's capital Guwahati and will be chaired by Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh," the sources said. The meeting will not only take stock of the security situation in the region but also discuss strategies to deal with insurgency in northeastern India, the said. "On the agenda is discussion of strategy to deal with insurgents based in Myanmar, who enter India and cross over to the other side after striking," the sources said.
