Iran has produced new generation of “Naziat” ballistic missiles, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Iranian army, Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said, Tasnim news agency reported.

Iran has produced new generation of "Naziat" ballistic missiles, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Iranian army, Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said, Tasnim news agency reported.



Iranian army has been supplied with several types of Naziat missiles.



The new missiles are capable of hitting targets as far as 150 km, the report said.



Iranian State TV IRIB reported on March that Iran has successfully test-fired "Naziat-10" and "Fajr-5" missiles.



Naziat 10 is a short range missile, capable of hitting targets as far as 130 km and can be launched from mobile platforms.



Fajr-5 is an artillery rocket developed by Iran in the 1990s. The system is a part of the Fajr family of rockets.



It was also reported that the army will also be provided with "Sayyad" tank transporter that has the 200 ton carriage capacity.
