Neither the coalition forces nor the U.S. are serious in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Head of Iraq's Parliament Security Committee Hakim al-Zamili alleged Sunday.
"The continued occupation of Syrian town of Kobani by the ISIL, despite heavy airstrikes of the U.S.-led coalition forces, proves the combat against the terrorist group is not serious," Al-Zamilli said.
Since mid-June, the Iraqi army and Kurdish Peshmerga forces have been pitted against the ISIL militants, who have taken control of large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.
The U.S. is leading an international coalition, including France, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, and has carried out numerous airstrikes against the ISIL in Iraq and Syria.
