Israeli police on Tuesday arrested two Israeli Arabs from the city of Tayibe, saying they were suspected of involvement in a "possible terror attack," Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth has reported.
Two men from the Arab community of Tayibe were arrested Tuesday after police searched the area surrounding Kfar Yonna in central Israel in anticipation of a possible "terror attack," the newspaper's website reported.
Police said the alleged "threat" had been thwarted following the two men's arrest, according to the press report, which added that police had set up roadblocks and searched cars traveling to capital Tel Aviv after they had "received information regarding a possible attack."
The Israeli police have yet to disclose any additional details regarding the incident.
