An Israeli court on Thursday sentenced a Palestinian man to 198 years in prison after accusing him of stabbing and killing an Israeli woman in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian man Maher al-Hashlamon, 30, was accused of stabbing and killing an Israeli woman in the southern part of the West Bank four months ago, Israel Public Radio said.
It added that the court decided to hand the man that heavy sentence because he planned other crimes as well.
The family of the Israeli victim, meanwhile, called for executing al-Hashlamon, according to Palestinian NGO Ahrar Center for Human Rights Studies.
Apart from killing the Israeli woman al-Hashlamon also injured two other Israelis during the same attack.
