Israeli army forces stormed early Wednesday the house of a Palestinian female lawmaker in the central West Bank city of Al-Bireh and informed her of a court decision to expel her to the western West Bank city of Jericho on grounds of posing a threat to public security.
"The Israeli court did not set a timeframe for being expelled from Al-Bireh," Khalida Jarrar, one of the most prominent MPs of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, told Anadolu Agency.
She said the court also ordered her being kept under close watch while staying in Jericho.
"This is tantamount to a detention order," fumed Jarrar, asserting that she has refused to sign or comply with the order.
She dismissed the Israeli court order as a "violation of international laws."
The Israeli military court order was based on intelligence and security reports and should be implemented within 24 hours, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The court order did not refer to the punishment for non-compliance, it added.
Jarrar has accused Israel of waging war on the Palestinian people and killing innocent civilians in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
At least 2028 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed and more than 10,000 others injured in Israeli attacks on the coastal enclave since July 7.
