The Israeli army has detained 225 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since the beginning of October, a Palestinian NGO said Monday.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, Israel detained 70 Palestinians in Hebron; 46 in East Jerusalem; 24 in Bethlehem; 19 in Nablus; 17 in Ramallah; 11 in Jenin; and 11 in Tubas.
Other detentions took place in Salfit, Jericho and Qalqilya, it said.
Israeli forces routinely conduct detention campaigns against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on claims that they are "wanted" by Israeli authorities.
Over 7,000 Palestinians are currently languishing in prisons throughout Israel, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs.
