Israeli forces on Monday dispersed Palestinian protesters in the West Bank, who gathered to show support for the embattled Gaza Strip, which has been reeling under unabated Israeli attacks for three weeks now.

Israeli forces fired teargas and rubber bullets to disperse demonstrators in the western Bil'in village following the Eid al-Fitr prayers to condemn ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Three protesters were injured and scores suffered temporary asphyxiation, according to an Anadolu Agency reporter.

A Palestinian protester was also detained by Israeli forces.

The West Bank has seen several pro-Gaza protests following the Eid prayers on Monday as the embattled territory has been pounded by Israeli attacks since July 7, leaving at least 1035 Palestinians dead and more than 6000 injured.

Israel claims that the military offensive aims at undermining the ability of Gaza's resistance movements to launch rocket attacks.

At least 46 Israelis – 43 soldiers and three civilians – have also been killed since the hostilities began.
