Israeli bulldozers early Tuesday demolished a milk parlor and two barns in the West Bank's southern city of Hebron and northern city of Nablus.
"An Israeli military force made up of 80 troops accompanied by bulldozers raided the [milk parlor] building and demolished it," Maamoun Rachid, manager of the company that owns the parlor, told Anadolu Agency.
He said the Israeli army in July had confiscated all the parlor's equipment on the pretext that the building had been constructed without the necessary license – adding that his company had incurred losses of some $2.5 million as a result.
Rachid went on to note that around 30 company employees had also lost their jobs as a result of the demolition.
According to Rachid, an Israeli court had been slated to rule on the parlor's fate on September 7, but Israeli authorities had not waited for a court decision.
Israeli authorities say the milk parlor – where milk is produced from cows – is owned by Palestinian faction Hamas.
Rachid, however, dismisses the claim.
Israeli authorities also demolished two Palestinian-owned mobile farms in the southern West Bank village of Al-Lubban near Nablus on the pretext that they lacked building licenses, eyewitnesses said.
AA could not obtain immediate comments from Israeli authorities regarding the demolition reports.
Israel has carried out frequent raids across the occupied West Bank since the murder in July of three Jewish settlers by unknown perpetrators.
