Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said Tuesday that his country is ready to defend itself "away from its borders".
"Iran is a terror country that funds and supports terrorist elements with weapons," Yaalon was "ed as saying by Israeli radio.
Yaalon went on to stress that "Iran's behavior needs to be stopped."
"We should not deal with Iran tolerantly, nor should we blindly follow its lies. We should not allow it to continue to develop nuclear weapons," Yaalon added at a speech in the Haifa naval base.
Israel opposes a deal between Iran and world powers over Tehran's nuclear program.
During his Tuesday speech before the U.S. Congress, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the possible deal between world powers with Iran as a "bad deal," earning that it would enable Iran to manufacture nuclear weapons.
