Israeli army troops detained four Palestinians in overnight raids in the West Bank, the military said on Sunday.
In a statement, the army said its forces had arrested four Palestinians suspected of involvement in "hostile acts" against Israeli targets, without elaborating further on these acts.
It added that its troops seized material involved in the manufacture of weapons as well as two explosive charges during the raids, noting that the detainees had been referred to questioning.
Eyewitnesses told The Anadolu Agency that one of the detainees was apprehended by the Israeli army at a checkpoint in Jenin province, while another was detained in Dura town in Al-Khalil (Hebron) province.
A journalist and a former Palestinian prisoner were also detained by Israeli polices during raids on their houses in Al-Khalil city, they added.
Israeli forces sporadically raid Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and detains local Palestinians, claiming the latter are "wanted" by Israeli security agencies.
