Beşiktaş announced that it has terminated its contract with national goalkeeper Mert Günok. The experienced goalkeeper is expected to reach an agreement with Fenerbahçe, where he developed through the youth system.
Beşiktaş announced that Mert Günok, who has been part of the squad since the 2021-22 season, has had his contract terminated. The black-and-white club thanked the experienced goalkeeper for his contributions.

In Beşiktaş's statement, it was reminded that Mert Günok played a part in the Turkey Cup and Super Cup championships won during his time wearing the jersey.

We thank Mert Günok for his contributions to our club, who played a role in winning one Turkey Cup and one Super Cup championship during his time wearing our jersey, and we respectfully present this information to the public." it was stated.
EXPECTING A SIGNING WITH FENERBAHÇE
It was stated that Mert Günok is expected to sign a contract with Fenerbahçe, from which he graduated on Wednesday, January 7. If the signing takes place, Günok will return to the yellow-navy blue jersey after 10 years.
CENGİZ ÜNDER DETAIL
During the transfer process, the detail of Cengiz Ünder also came to the forefront. It was noted that Fenerbahçe would not pay a transfer fee to Beşiktaş as part of the agreement, and if Beşiktaş uses the purchase option for Cengiz Ünder at the end of the season, the specified fee would decrease from 6 million euros to 5 million euros.
