Manal Radwan, a senior official from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that it is not the Palestinians who need reform; rather, it is the Israeli government that rejects the two-state solution and obstructs peace by attacking Muslims. Radwan said, "Israeli government officials are constantly inciting against Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims. We do not believe that there is a partner in front of us for making peace."
Manal Radwan, a senior official from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke at a forum held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
"PALESTINIANS HAVE BEEN REFORMING FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS"
Referring to the reforms of the Palestinian Authority, Radwan stated, "Palestinians have been reforming for the last 30 years. President Mahmoud Abbas has also put forward a solid reform plan that he believes will be good for the Palestinians."
"WHAT WE NEED IS AN ISRAELI GOVERNMENT THAT HAS GONE THROUGH REFORM"
Manal Radwan, stating that they support this plan as Saudi Arabia, said, "Saudi Arabia is certainly determined in this regard. We are also working every day to assist the Palestinian Authority with the reform plan. However, what we need to achieve sustainable peace and security, to end this conflict, to implement President Trump's 20-point peace plan, and to enforce the UN Security Council resolution is an Israeli government that has gone through reform."
"WE DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS A PARTNER FOR PEACE IN FRONT OF US"
The Israeli government opposes a two-state solution. Israeli government officials continuously incite against Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims. We do not believe there is a partner in front of us to make peace. In fact, we do not even have a partner for a sustainable ceasefire. This is the real and significant reform we hope to see," she said.
