Spanish singer Julio Iglesias is headed back to Turkey, six years after he last performed here.
The world-renowned singer of romantic ballads will be onstage next weekend at the Ülker Sports Arena, the concert promoter Eldorado announced in a press release issued Monday. The March 14 concert is part of 71-year-old Iglesias' ongoing 2015 world tour, which began in Brazil, the organizers said.
Los Angeles-based Russian singer Alexander Kogan, who supported Iglesias in Russia and Ukraine in his 2013 World Tour, will be opening for Iglesias in the İstanbul concert.
Iglesias' last live performance in Turkey was in the summer of 2009, when he sang at the Turkcell Kuruçeşme Arena. In the summer of 2008, Iglesias performed in İstanbul, Ankara, Bursa and İzmir as part of a four-concert Turkey tour.
Tickets for the singer's upcoming İstanbul concert can be purchased via Biletix.
