Kartepe Observes First Seasonal Snow

As the northern hemisphere on the verge of the winter, first seasonal snow was observed in Kartepe, one of the leading winter resorts destination northwestern Turkey. With its magnificent landscape, Kartepe embraced snowflakes which covered the winter resort with white blanket as the snow in depth reach 5 centimeters.

Snowfall, which has started in the late hours of the night and frequently continues on the slopes of 1600 meter- high Kartepe where about 35 kilometers long away from the city center of northern Turkey’s industrial hub city of Kocaeli.

According to the last measurement, the snow has reached 5 centimeters in depth. As the white beauty decorated the magnificent nature beauty of the slopes, photographers flocked to Kartepe to take photos which one more beautiful than the others.
