Kobani Under Bombardment As ISIL Advances

Syrian city of Kobani faces fierce attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) which intensified its offensives with bombardment across the city.

A total of six mortar shells have hit Kobani for the last two days, which triggered another flow of migration to Turkey’s Suruç town, which shares border with Syria.

There are seven ongoing clashes in seven villages of the city. Moreover, ISIL is also engaged in severe fight with the Democratic Union Party (PYD), an offshoot of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), in some points of Kobani to take control of some parts of the city.
