Balkan country of Kosovo is celebrating its independency. As part of the 8th anniversary of the independency of the country, a parade, watched by thousands of people was held at Mother Teresa Square located in capital city of Pristina. An Official ceremony, in which high state official and foreign mission chief attended, Kosovar President Atifete Jahjage held a speech and said that Kosovo is their sufferings, pride and escrow. “We made sacrifice for these days,” noted Kosovar President.
Jahjage also stated that we will be friend U.S, which gave continues support to Kosovo, until forever. “Kosovo is a country that her democracy undergoes tests. Therefore, we have to both bold and eager. We have to establish unity and solidarity to solidify the foundation of the state,”
Meanwhile, opposition parties in the country are planning to hold big protest rally in the afternoon. Opposition parties in Kosovo firmly objecting the concessions given to the Serbia and Montenegro in order to get them recognition for Kosovo.
BARBED WIRE CONCEPT ON NEWBORN MONUMENT
Newborn Monument, which is accepted the symbol of Kosovo took its new view with some changes. Monument died to blue and barbed wire depicted on the monument. Fisnik Ismaili, a designer said that Newborn reflects the condition in Kosovo this year. “While blue sky symbolizes freedom, barbed wire reflects the bad situation of the country,” noted İsmaili.
