National Security Council Meeting Kicks Off At Çankaya Palace

The monthly National Security Council (MGK) meeting, this time headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has started at the Çankaya Presidential Palace.

Erdoğan is heading the MGK meeting for the first time since being elected president.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Deputy Prime Ministers Numan Kurtulmuş and Yalçın Akdoğan and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu are also attending the MGK meeting in their new roles.

President Erdoğan had earlier stated that he would introduce strict measures to undermine the faith-based Hizmet movement across the country in the current MGK meeting.
