After a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin on Thursday in Brussels, NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg stressed alliance’s solidarity with Ukraine.
Reportedly, Stoltenberg pledged that NATO will continue its strong political and practical support for Ukraine and expressed his concern about the recent escalation of violence in the country.
“We are very much concerned about the situation and also by the continued support of Russia to the separatists,” the Secretary General added.
Stoltenberg repeated his call for the ceasefire to be respected, and stressed that NATO is supporting all efforts to try to find a peaceful solution, based on the Minsk agreements. He also said that the alliance will continue to support Ukraine, and it will spend its all efforts to support to the independence and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
