2 PEOPLE FOUND UNRESPONSIVE
Four Palestinian nationals named Samir N M Shahwan (27), Yousef Zoabi (22), Motee N M Snahwan (35), and Zeyd Sancaktan (37) arrived at their homes within the site on İpekyolu Street in Rüstempaşa neighborhood yesterday evening. Samir N M Shahwan and Yousef Zoabi were found unresponsive in their rooms in the morning. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The four individuals, who received initial interventions, were taken to hospitals. Samir N M Shahwan died at Sadıka Sabancı State Hospital, while Yousef Zoabi passed away at Sapanca District Hospital. It was learned that the other two individuals were still receiving treatment in the hospital and their health conditions were good.
HIGH CARBON MONOXIDE LEVELS IN BLOOD SAMPLES
Investigations revealed no signs of beating, cutting, or piercing injuries on the bodies of the deceased individuals. Due to the high levels of carbon monoxide found in the blood samples, it was assessed that the incident might have resulted from a gas leak. Measurements conducted by natural gas teams also detected a leak. The exact causes of death will be clarified following the autopsy results.
"NATURAL GAS SUSPICION IS BEING CONSIDERED"
Murat Yazıcı, a security officer from a nearby site, described the events as follows:
"Around 10:00 in the morning, ambulances arrived at the front of the site. We were curious and went to check. One person had died, and the others were taken to the hospital by ambulances. There were a total of 4 ambulances. Later, police teams arrived. The suspicion of natural gas is being considered, and teams from the natural gas company also came to the scene."
