Professor of Political Theories of International Studies Nikos Kotzias, who was sworn in as the new Greek Foreign Affairs Minister on Tuesday, made his first statements on his post to the Cihan news agency saying that Turkey and Greece should be good neighbors.
Greece’s new SYRIZA-led coalition government was sworn in on Tuesday in a cabinet including members of the right-wing Independent Greeks (ANEL). The new cabinet consists of 13 ministers, 20 acting ministers and six deputy ministers.
Speaking to Cihan news agency following inauguration, Kotzias extended his messages of friendship to Turkish people. He also highlighted to develop neighbor relations with Turkey saying that Turkey and Greece should be good neighbors. Yanis Varoufakis holds a crucial role as the new finance minister and leader of the ANEL will serve as the new defense minister in the new cabinet.
