The United States of America is now ready to take leadership for a global response to the deadly Ebola outbreak that is destroying West Africa, President Barak Obama mentioned on Tuesday, as he also made announcement of ongoing plans to send thousands of U.S troops to the region.
Part of the announcement consisted of some main points that President Obama made. To control the outbreak, to address the ripple effects on local economies and communities to prevent a truly massive humanitarian disaster. The coordination of a border to global response, and to urgently build up a public system in these countries for the future.
According to the World Health Organization, Liberia has been hit the worst accounting for about half of more than 2,500 deaths.

Plans and details

3,000 U.S troops will be sent to a new center in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia to assist with transportation of supplies and other personnel. U.S forces will build 17 health care facilities of 100 beds each to treat and keep victims indoors. The U.S mission also plans to have a facility where 500 health care workers can be trained and this will be an advantage to the rest of the mission.
"Patients are being turned away and people are literally dying on the streets. The harsh truth is stated in West Africa, Ebola is now and epidemic of the likes which we have never seen before, it’s spiralling out of control, it sure is getting much worse and it’s spreading faster and exponentially, said Barak Obama”.
Obama also stated that, “profound political and economic and economic implications for all of us. It is an epidemic that is not just a threat to regional security, it is threat to global security if so these countries break down, if their economics break down and if people panic. And all of this has a profound impact on all of us, even if we are not contracted to the fatal disease”.
While the WHO has said that it needs foreign medical teams with 500-600 experts as well as at least 10,000 health workers for assistance. China and Cuba have been kind and will send medical staff to Sierra Leone. Cuba will arrange 165 people in October this year. China is to send a mobile laboratory with a number of 59 staff to speed up testing for the disease.
Ebola affecting the economic crisis
From the three West African countries which have been effected with Ebola, Sierra Lone has been the main target and been hit the worst. Reports from the World Health Organization has proved this and confirmed cases of the deadly haemorrhagic fever there. With a staggering mortality rate of almost 90 percent, the nation to has declared a state of emergency. The epidemic is not only putting Liberia’s health care system under enormous pressure, but it is also having an enormous effect on the delivery of care. Liberia’s decision to declare a state of emergency will increase the hardship, as majority of government worker were been told to stay at home. Schools must remain closed. With their only source of income shut down, teachers and other government workers must look for other alternatives of means to survive. As more cases and a rising death toll, it is a concerned fact and worry about the situation in Liberia. It is a great assistance if all countries can come together and try bring the situation
