U.S. President Trump announced that a ceasefire had been reached between Pakistan and India. The Pakistani Foreign Minister stated, "The ceasefire negotiations were conducted by the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Turkey."

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan has come to an end, stating, "I am pleased to announce a complete ceasefire."

In a message shared on his Truth Social account, Trump revealed that a ceasefire has been reached between India and Pakistan with the mediation of the United States. In his message, Trump said, "I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire after overnight discussions mediated by the United States." Trump also added, "I congratulate both countries for using their common sense and great wisdom. Thank you for your interest in this matter."

THE FIRST MOVE CAME FROM PAKISTAN

Shortly before the ceasefire decision was announced, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar stated that his country was ready to take the same step if India ceased hostilities. Dar said, "If they stop, we will stop too. We do not want destruction and waste of resources. We want peace without the hegemony of any country."

INDIA'S ATTACK ON PAKISTAN

India conducted missile strikes on Pakistani territory and the Azad Kashmir region controlled by Pakistan on May 6, citing retaliation for a terrorist attack on April 22 in the Pahalgam area that killed 26 people.

The Indian army announced that it had targeted 9 sites it described as "terrorist organizations," while the Islamabad administration reported that 6 civilian locations were targeted in the attacks, resulting in 33 deaths and 62 injuries.

The Pakistani army stated that it shot down 5 fighter jets during the Indian side's attack, while the New Delhi administration did not confirm this.
