Pakistan Army killed at least seven suspected militants and injured 12 others in airstrikes in the northwestern Khyber tribal region, a senior military official said.
The official said the militants allegedly belonged to the Taliban-affiliated Lashkar-i-Islam group.
The airstrikes targeted hideouts in the tribal region's remote Tirah valley, which the army believes is the current bastion of Taliban and their affiliates.
Khyber Agency is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal regions in Pakistan that borders neighboring Afghanistan.
Pakistan Army has launched a large scale military operation in Khyber and Waziristan tribal agencies.
According to the army, over 1,400 militants have been killed since June 15.
