Pakistan has decided to set free 163 Indian fishermen who have been languishing in its jails for the last one year, the Pakistani Foreign Office said Sunday.
The fishermen will be handed over to Indian border security officials on the Wagah border near the northeastern Pakistan city of Lahore on Monday, a Foreign Office spokesman said.
Pakistan and India last month had both released over around 200 fishermen as a "goodwill gesture" to improve bilateral relations.
The two arch nuclear rivals often arrest each other's fishermen due to poorly marked sea boundaries and a lack of latest technology aboard fishermen boats.
Over 300 fishermen are still being held by the two countries. - Ankara
