After recent explanation, made by Interior Minister Efkan Ala concerning the situation in the eastern regions of Turkey, the residents of Mardin’s Nusaybin district started to flee the district on Sunday with the worry of a possible curfew. Around 100 families leave Nusaybin every day. Interior Minister Efkan Ala said on Thursday that security forces had completed their operations against militants in Cizre, but that the curfew will remain in place for now.
People have been leaving their houses and continue to move their relatives’ houses and other security districts and areas. The crowds at bus terminals are noticed in the territory.
