Peshmarga Finalizes Preparations Ahead Of Entering Kobani

Northern Kurdish Regional Government's armed forces of Peshmarga troops completed final preparations in Turkey's Şanlıurfa province on Friday before crossing into besieged Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani to fight against Islamic State in Iraq and The Levant (ISIL).

KRG 's Peshmarga troops consisting of 150 fighters who are supposed to move into Kobani to aid their fellow Kurds in the town, fulfilled two fuel tanks and stored other needs as according to sources they are expected to leave Turkey today. Some of the Peshmargas cleaned and maintained their weapons for the last time before the operations at the facility where they were they stayed in Turkey.

Meanwhile, 10 of the fighters who crossed into Kobani yesterday morning and held talks with the Democratic Union Party (PYD) officials before the strike returned back to Turkey on Friday at early hours.

On the other hand, clashes between ISIL and PYD militants near Mürşitpınar border gate from where Peshmargas are expected to cross into Kobani, notably intensified today. US-led bombardments on ISIL positions also increasingly continued during the day.
