Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, who paid an official visit to Cyprus on Tuesday, stated that concrete steps to solve Cyprus issue shpuld be taken on a critical progress in Cyprus negotiations.
Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), Özkan Yorgancıoğlu gave a dinner in honor of Davutoğlu at Golden Tulip Hotel with the participation of Cyprus and Turkish government officials. Following the dinner the two leaders made a press statement.
Thanking his Cyprus counterpart and his team for their hospitability, Davutoğlu pointed out close ties and friendship between Turkey and Cyprus. Davutoğlu further stated that they follow negotiations between Turkish Cyprus President Derviş Eroğlu and Greek Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades closely and Turkey will support every step taken by Greek government and Greece to solve Cyprus issue.
A critical progress has been made in the negotiations and steps to solve the issue should be taken as soon as possible, said Davutoğlu who underlined that all of the representatives of Cyprus people is great importance in the talks.
